The Grace Welcome Center strengthens families by supporting children and adults through offering hope, shelter, food, companionship, and resources. They provide friendship, food assistance, meals, showers, haircuts, and emergency clothing to the homeless, near homeless, and low-income individuals and families living in or near Uptown Kenosha.

The ELCA Outreach Center is an outreach of eight Evangelical Lutheran Congregations of America (ELCA) Churches in Kenosha and is endorsed by the Greater Milwaukee Synod. Many other churches in Kenosha County also support the Center. Their mission is to Share God’s Love by addressing the needs of children, youth, and adults through programs and services that encourage them to become self-sufficient, caring and participating members of the community.

Update: The Richard M. Schultze Family Foundation matched 50% of the donation.  The additional $3,300 brought the total donation to  $8,550.

RFK is a Christian led organization that exists to transform communities by interrupting the cycles of neglect, abuse, and abandonment of children in the foster care system. We fulfill our mission by providing an array of programs, all directed toward changing the trajectory of young lives which, too often, include a combination of academic failure, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, sex trafficking, homelessness, and incarceration.

$8,300 to Sleep In Heavenly Peace

Sleep In Heavenly Peace builds and delivers beds to children who do not have a bed. Our motto: "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town!"
At SHP, we fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs.
Through the wonderful efforts of volunteers and generous donations, bunk beds are built, assembled and delivered to those children who are otherwise sleeping on couches, blankets or even floors.

Selah Freedom is a national organization with the mission to end sex trafficking and bring freedom to the exploited through four strong programs: Advocacy & Awareness, Prevention, Outreach and Residential. 
Selah Freedom confronts the issue of sex trafficking and is upheld as the model for how to effectively bring solutions to survivors of sex trafficking & exploitation. Selah is a Hebrew word which means to pause, rest, and reflect. We give survivors a chance to do just that. Women in our programs have an opportunity to dream again; to discover who it is they were created to be.

The  Matthias Academy is a nonprofit adult day program coming to Southeast, Wisconsin. Matthias Academy will serve adults with mild to severe disabilities, specialized medical needs, behaviors and mild to severe autism from Illinois and Wisconsin.  Matthias Academy will provide a Community College like setting for adults with profound special needs, medical needs, behavioral needs and intellectual disabilities to learn and work.

The mission of the Alzheimer's Association is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
The funds will used to provide sponsorship of the Promise Garden tent at the Alzheimers walk on 9/28/19, where flowers are handed out to those who have lost someone to Alzheimers's; caregivers, advocates and One for Hope to find a cure.

$6050 to Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services, Inc. (KAFASI)

​KAFASI provides residents of Kenosha County with programs that meet vital needs within the community. Aging Services programs provide nutritious meals, affordable transportation, respite for caregivers, memory care programming, and solutions to loneliness for homebound people.  Family Services programs support parents of all ages while addressing the needs of families with children who are at risk of abuse or neglect. Essential skills are taught through casework, as well as the Teen Parent, Parenting Class and Anger Management programs.

$4250 to the Hospice Alliance

Hospice Alliance is your community-based, non-profit choice for hospice care and palliative care. We are committed to providing compassionate physical, emotional and spiritual care and educating our patients, those who support them and the communities we serve.
The funds were used for blanket warmers for patients and families who stay at the bedside of patients.
